How it Works

Gusto and Aboard have a well connected relationship and sync with each other every 6 hours where it can be synced manually every 6 hours after the last sync. As soon as a new user is added to Gusto and finished their mandatory onboarding steps, that user is auto-added to Aboard (as a Member) along with the following information:

Aboard then creates a Draft Journey and includes any Default Programs and then notifies all Super Admin via email and/or Slack.

Setup

  1. Go to Settings, then Integrations

  2. Click Connect and wait until a popup appears:

  3. You’ll see information on what Aboard will be able to read from Gusto and then click Continue:

  4. Fill in your user ID (email) and password (you’ll need an Full Access Admin account):

  5. Click Submit

  6. Once integrated, the first sync will be an "up to date" operation where Aboard will catch up with the hired employees and import them into the system. After the initial sync, the autodraft feature will function normally.

FAQ

  1. What data gets sync’d to Aboard?

    First Name, Last Name, Personal Email, Work Email, Title, Manager, Department, Start Date, Location, Birth Date

  2. What happens when I sync employee data from Gusto? All employees with an Active status in Gusto are added to Aboard as Members.

  3. Once I've integrated Gusto, will the users get any notification?

    They will not.

  4. What happens if we change the status of a user in Gusto to terminated?

    Aboard will automatically archive the user.

  5. Can I update synced employee data in Aboard?

    No. The data you've synced from Gusto into Aboard will only be editable in Gusto.
